This is what my DrSmile treatment plan with 3D simulation looks like

My DrSmile treatment plan with 3D simulation is here. I’ll show you what information is included and what’s next for my teeth straightening now.

I received my DrSmile treatment plan via email shortly after my consultation appointment.

Honestly, I was really excited when the news finally came fluttering into my inbox. I couldn’t wait to finally see what my “finished” teeth would look like.

With a click on the “View now” button, the plan opens in the browser. There are 4 tabs in total: overview, simulation, services and payment options.

Overview: This is how my tooth correction with aligners works

In the “Overview” tab, I can see the treatment level to which my malocclusion has been assigned. In my case it is level 2 of 3.

In addition, the DrSmile treatment plan shows me the treatment duration and the number of aligners needed.

My teeth straightening will take 5 months and I need 10 aligners per jaw.

IPR(approximal enamel reduction) or pretreatment are not necessary in my case.

Also, I don’t need any engagers. The latter are small plastic buttons that are bonded to the teeth, allowing even more complex tooth movements.

On the overview page in the DrSmile treatment plan, I also find all the information about my upcoming treatment once again:

• What is important before treatment?
• How are the aligners worn correctly?
• What to do during the treatment?
• What happens if I am not satisfied with the treatment?
• How does the retention proceed?

The 3D simulation in the DrSmile treatment plan

Now it gets exciting with a click on the button “Your 3D simulation”.

Here I can see from start to finish how my teeth will change over the course of treatment and even with each of my 10 aligners.

With the mouse, I can view my dentures from all sides – simply incredibly fascinating.

I think I must have watched the simulation 10 times, and it really made me look forward to my straight teeth.

By the way, a cool feature is that you can share the link to the DrSmile treatment plan with 3D simulation with friends and family.

Services: What does DrSmile take care of and what do I have to contribute myself?

Under the “Services” tab in the DrSmile treatment plan, I then find out once again in summary form which services DrSmile provides and which I have to provide myself in order to use my satisfaction guarantee, if applicable.

DrSmile:

• Plans all treatment steps
• Accompanies the treatment (via app, by phone, etc.)
• Provides regular feedback on progress
• Assumes the cost of refinement if I have complied with all cooperation obligations
• Offers additional services if I choose a premium package

Me:

• Wear my aligners at least 22 hours a day
• Change my aligners every 14 days
• Follow the instructions in the treatment plan and have all scheduled treatments performed on time
• Share my progress using pictures in the app

Payment options in DrSmile treatment plan

Under the “Payment options” tab, I can then choose the Basic treatment, the Plus treatment or the Premium treatment.

The Basic version in the DrSmile treatment plan includes:

• The custom-made aligners
• All necessary medical applications (IPR/Engager)
• Support from the DrSmile experts and the app

The Plus version in the DrSmile treatment plan also includes the permanent retainer, which is inserted after the treatment to stabilize the teeth in their new position.

The Premium version in the DrSmile treatment plan also includes the permanent retainer and the Premium Check. With the latter, patients can make a monthly appointment at the partner practice to get personal feedback from the dentist or orthodontist.

After I select and confirm my desired plan, my aligners are produced and sent to my home in the mail.
