Who is actually behind Strayt Aligners?

First things first: According to the official website, Strayt Aligners are not (yet) available in Europe.

The aligners are only shipped within the USA.

In concrete terms, this means that the treatment is currently not available in Germany.

As soon as there is news, we will inform you here. Until then, we would still like to provide you with some information about the company here.

Strayt LLC was founded in 2020 and is based in the United States of America. This makes the company one of the newer competitors on the aligner market.

Strayt Aligners offers invisible aligners to correct misaligned teeth – both aligners that are worn throughout the day and aligners that are worn at night.

The company’s product portfolio also includes various products for whitening teeth.

In contrast to other aligner providers, such as DrSmile, there is otherwise little information about Strayt LLC on the Internet.

The aligner provider is also much less represented on social media and YouTube.

We do not yet know whether treatment with Strayt Aligners aligners will be available in Europe in the near future.

If you are currently looking for an aligner provider, we recommend DrSmile as an alternative.

DrSmile has already produced more than one million aligners and can look back on over 150,000 completed tooth corrections.

The company’s invisible aligners are already available in over 100 partner practices across Germany.

You can find more information about DrSmile here.

How does tooth correction with Strayt Aligners work?

Strayt Aligners offers two different options for tooth correction:

On the one hand, there are all-day aligners that are worn for at least 22 hours a day and are only removed for eating and dental care (Strayt Clear Aligners OR).

An alternative are the Strayt Night Aligners, which only need to be worn at night – however, the treatment time is extended accordingly.

In addition to all the aligner sets required for tooth correction, each package also contains a Premium 3-in-1 Whitening System and the StraytVIBES™ Light and Vibration Therapy Device.

The latter is a light and vibration therapy device that enables faster and more comfortable tooth movement and whitening.

The 5-minute high-frequency vibration cycle gently stimulates tooth movement. An anti-inflammatory red light during the HFV cycle helps to alleviate pain sensitivity.

After the vibration cycle is complete, a 10-minute blue light cycle helps to accelerate the whitening results.

Basic information on how aligners work

Aligners, often referred to as invisible braces, are a modern alternative to traditional braces.

They consist of a series of clear, fixed plastic trays that are custom-made to gradually move the teeth into the desired position.

Each aligner is individually manufactured according to a precise treatment plan based on 3D scans or impressions of the dentition.

The way aligners work is relatively simple but effective: they exert continuous, light pressure on specific teeth.

This pressure causes the teeth to move slowly. Approximately every two weeks, the aligner is replaced with a new one, which moves the teeth further in the desired direction.

This process is continued until the teeth have reached their optimum position.

And this is how tooth correction with Strayt Aligners actually works:

1. take impressions from home

The process with Strayt Aligners starts with you making impressions of your smile at home.

The aligner provider will send you an impression set together with detailed instructions to your home. After you have made them, the impressions will be sent back to Strayt Aligners.

Once your impressions have been received, you will receive a 3D visualization showing the current state of your teeth and how they will look after treatment with Strayt Aligners.

Alternatively, it is also possible to make a personal appointment for a scan. Strayt Aligners works together with a number of dentists and orthodontists in the USA for this purpose.

2. treatment plan and ordering the Strayt Aligners

You will receive a preview of your results together with the treatment plan. Here you will also find out how much the treatment with Strayt Aligners will cost and how long it will take.

If you confirm the treatment plan, a contract is concluded. You can then expect your aligners to arrive a few weeks after they have been checked by an orthodontist.

If your misaligned teeth are not eligible for treatment, no costs will be incurred.

3. all-day aligners or “Strayt Night Aligners” system

As already mentioned, you have the option of choosing Strayt Aligners for the whole day or just for the night.

Whether you choose Strayt Clear Aligners (worn almost all day) or Strayt Night Aligners™ (worn continuously for 10 hours every 24 hours) depends entirely on your priorities.

If you place the highest priority on completing treatment quickly, the all-day wear option is recommended.

If you’re not in a hurry and just want the most comfortable treatment possible, Strayt Night Aligners™ may be right for you.

Treatment with Strayt Night Aligners™ usually takes twice as long as treatment with all-day aligners.

Strayt Aligners advertises a 30-day return policy on its website if you are not completely satisfied with your aligners.

4. wearing the Strayt Aligners

You will receive your custom-fit aligners by post and can then start treatment straight away.

The aligners are usually changed every two weeks and each treatment plan is monitored by an orthodontist.

Strayt Aligners do not require any appointments at the dental practice. However, you should attend regular check-ups with your dentist and contact the aligner provider directly if any problems arise during treatment.

5. completion of treatment and retention

Once you have worn all the aligner sets and your teeth have reached the desired position, the active phase of treatment is complete.

After completing treatment with Strayt Aligners, it is important to maintain the result.

For the first two weeks, wear a Strayt retainer all day (except when eating and drinking). After that, you can wear your retainer at night – but you should replace it about once a year.

How much do Strayt Aligners cost?

If you have already taken a look at the Strayt Aligners homepage, you will probably have noticed that the company communicates its prices transparently.

Unlike competitors such as DrSmile, however, your malocclusion is not divided into mild, moderate or severe – instead, there is only one pricing model.

As already mentioned, Strayt aligners are currently only available in the USA. For the sake of simplicity, we therefore state all prices here in US dollars.

Tooth correction with the Strayt Clear Aligners or the Strayt Night Aligners

Tooth correction with Strayt Clear Aligners or Strayt Night Aligners regularly costs $1848– but the price is currently reduced to $1596 (as of May 2024).

Alternatively, you can pay $87 per month in installments – currently reduced to $77 (24-month installment plan with $248 down payment).

Another model is the 12-month installment plan. Here, $154 is paid monthly in installments – currently reduced to $133. The down payment is $199.

Important to know: Unfortunately, the costs of correcting teeth in adults are not usually covered by health insurance.

However, we still recommend that you do not focus exclusively on price when choosing an aligner provider.

Instead, rely primarily on authentic reviews and research lots of testimonials on the Internet.

Who are Strayt Aligners suitable for?

Strayt aligners are generally suitable for patients with crooked or irregular front teeth and small gaps between teeth.

They are therefore recommended for mild to moderate malocclusions.

However, invisible braces can reach their limits in the case of complicated malocclusions – such as a severe overbite, underbite, crossbite, tooth gap or other types of malocclusion.

Incidentally, this applies to most Aligner providers, including Smile Direct Club, Inman Aligner, Bestsmile, Harmonieschiene, Smileunion, Six Month Smiles, Braceless, Impress Aligner, LetSmile, NewSmile, Smilelign, AlignerCo, Candid Aligners, Byte Aligner, Spark Aligner or PlusDental.

Currently, only Invisalign products are suitable for serious misaligned teeth.

Conclusion on Strayt Aligners: Does the product deliver what it promises?

Even if only a few authentic reviews of Strayt Aligners can be found on forums and social media, it is clear that discreet tooth correction is quite possible with the company’s invisible aligners.

Our biggest criticism, however, is the fact that treatment is carried out entirely from home – unless patients actively opt for an in-person appointment.

We always recommend that you make an initial consultation appointment with a dentist or orthodontist.

Providers such as DrSmile also offer a free 3D scan at the first appointment in the practice, which provides even more accurate results than a simple impression set.

In the case of Strayt Aligners, however, the question of pros and cons is currently superfluous because, as already mentioned, the products are not yet available in Europe.

For this reason, the established provider DrSmile remains our recommendation for your teeth correction. There is a wealth of experience on the Internet – and the price structure is transparent.

The company not only offers good value for money, but also a satisfaction guarantee if you are not one hundred percent happy with the result.
